Dr. Hanxiao Jiang currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at Cataya, where she is responsible for the company’s overall technology strategy and R&D organization. Prior to joining Cataya, she served as Principal Scientist at Amyris, with deep expertise in industrial biotechnology and synthetic biology. During her 17-year tenure at Amyris, Dr. Jiang led teams to successfully bring multiple world-first products from concept to commercialization. She was the principal developer of several core industrial production strains, enabling large-scale manufacturing across a range of products, including farnesene, flavors and fragrances, antimalarial precursors, and vitamins. She is also the lead inventor on multiple cutting-edge patents, demonstrating strong capabilities in both technological innovation and industrial translation. Dr. Jiang received her bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University and her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in the United States.
